Geocaching at Pyhä and Luosto

Geocaching at Pyhä and Luosto

Geocaching is an exciting outdoor activity, where you look for hidden containers called "geocaches" (or simply "caches") by using GPS tracking, coordinates, and other hints given by the person who hid the geocache. Geocaches are usually waterproof containers that hold a logbook where all the successful geocachers write down their names as proof of finding the hidden treasure.

Pyhä and Luosto have both faraway geocaches and caches hidden in more urban areas. The urban geocaches are suitable for beginners and families, as the caches are easier to reach and find. For the GPS tracking you can use a GPS enabled mobile device. Once you have found a geocache, remember to return it where you found it for the next searchers. Here you can find the urban geocache maps of Pyhä and Luosto (hints in Finnish only).
